Blogs are a great way for you to express yourself and your ideas and use it as a tool to help you build rapport with people both near and far. For years the 3-way call has been one of the cornerstones of building a network marketing business. These calls allow us to communicate across great distances without having to travel too much. By getting a perceived expert on the phone with you to talk to your prospects, you are building the trust with your prospect.
A blog now allows for you to build this rapport much stronger and quicker when you are doing these long distance 3-way calls. Before I get farther into this I want to remind you of some sage advice from the industry great Randy Gage. Any new tools or ideas such as blogs should be used in addition to, NOT instead of what you are already doing.
With this in mind let’s talk about how a blog goes about helping you build rapport with new people. One of the cornerstones of a blog is your personal profile it contains. This is an overview of who you are, what your background is and what makes you a credible source of information. In order for people to trust you, they must first be able to relate to you.
Your profile is a way for people to get to know you a little better as a person. It should cover several aspects of your life past, present and future. When looking at your past some key things to include would be your family situation. How many siblings you have, where you grew up and talk about what your parents did for a living. One or two of your past hobbies would also be advisable. The purpose of this is to help people relate with your upbringing.
